How to fix Spiderman 2 Galvanize not Working

We were playing Spiderman 2 in Windows Report labs and as soon as the Galvanize prompt appeared on the screen in the Set Things Right mission, the game froze. Reloading didn’t work but the WR gaming team came up with a quick solution.

Why is Spiderman 2 Galvanize not working? Galvanize doesn’t work in Spiderman 2 because there is a glitch in the UI of the prompt that causes the game to freeze.

How do I fix the Spiderman 2 Galvanize not working issue?

  1. Go to the game menu.
  2. Load the game from the latest checkpoint in the Set Things Right mission.
  3. Press L1 + X immediately after the game loads.

After that, you will be able to use Galvanize even after cooldown because the game won’t freeze up anymore.

As it’s a UI prompt glitch, we’re expecting for it to be fixed soon so if you didn’t get to the Set Things Right mission, update the game and you probably won’t need this guide anymore.

Galvanize is triggered with the L1 + X combination on your controller, and it’s a new action in the Set Things Right mission on Spiderman 2.

With Galvanize you will be able to punch an enemy into the air, additionally shooting bolts of electricity at other enemies. If you continue to hit them, the action will increase its intensity.

Other known Spiderman 2 bugs/glitches

  • Spiderman 2 installation stuck at 36% – This happens when you install the game from a physical disc. Try installing the game in safe mode or offline to fix this issue.
  • Can’t install Spiderman 2 on SSD – Move the game to the system storage if you’re having this problem.
  • Spiderman 2 crashing – We’ve encountered this problem while the console is overheating. So, that is mainly a console issue. Change its position and try to clean it from dust and debris.
