steam next-gen xbox

There were a lot of rumors floating around regarding Microsoft and Valve, and speaking of which, today we have another fresh rumor.

It turns out that Steam might make its way to the next-gen Xbox console, and here’s what we know so far.

Steam is coming to the next-gen Xbox according to rumors

Recently, there has been a big rumor around that Microsoft is planning to buy Valve, which turned out to be entirely false.

Today we have a new rumor as reported by Gaming Intel that claims that Steam is coming to the next-gen Xbox.

The claim comes from Windows Central’s Jez Corden on X.

This doesn’t seem impossible as Phill Spencer said that he could see digital marketplaces like Epic Games store on Xbox in the future.

Spencer also said that the next Xbox console will be more like a PC, so maybe there’s some truth to it. The folks at the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit are rather skeptical pointing out that Jez Corden isn’t always a reliable source.

So far, there’s no official information available, and this seems more like Jez Corden’s opinion than insider information, so take it with a grain of salt.

In other news, the Xbox Game Pass price rise is being considered by Microsoft, so be ready for it.
