Owura Kwadwo Hottish, a teacher in Ghana has garnered a lot of attention on social media recently after posting several photos on Facebook of himself teaching Microsoft Word to his students using only chalk and a blackboard. The photos show him replicating the entire UI of the program to teach his students about it even though they have no access to a computer in the classroom.
“Teaching of ICT in Ghana’s school is very funny,” he wrote in the post accompanying the photos. “ICT on the board paa. I love ma students so have to do wat will make them understand Wat am teaching.”
His original Facebook post has been shared over 1,200 times and many individuals and media outlets have begun sharing the photos on other social networks such as Twitter as well.
A teacher tries hard to make IT easy for pupils. He draws virtually everything on the board because there are no computers.???????????? pic.twitter.com/dY0bZFMzn8

While definitely unusual, his teaching method is definitely proof that education is still possible without the latest technology and his creativity is to be commended.
