Microsoft recently made some changes to the Windows Insider program, adding a Canary channel for servicing builds in the 25000 series, thought to be headed for what could be Windows 12. With the announcement, the company noted that not every Canary Channel build, unlike previous builds in the Dev, Beta, or Release Preview Channels, would get a corresponding Windows Insider blog post.
While Microsoft did blog about the first official Canary Channel build, 25314, today marks the first one of those “Twitter only” announcements:
Cumulative Update Build 25314.1010 (KB5025135) is rolling out to #WindowsInsiders in the Canary Channel. This update does not include anything new and is designed to test our servicing pipeline. ^BLB

Since this is the first of its kind, we’ll go ahead and create our own blog post about it, even if Microsoft won’t. We’ll have to see how we’ll handle in the future, we may just Tweet and Toot on Mastodon instead, too, we’ll have to see. Either way, stay tuned to OnMSFT.com for all the latest Windows Insider news, and for now, if you’re in the Canary Channel, you can go ahead and help Microsoft out by testing the update to 25314.1010.
