There is going to be a new Dying Light game, but it’s not going to be released on Windows PCs, or gaming consoles, such as Xbox, no. We’re talking about tabletop: yes, zombies on a tabletop board game.

The new tabletop Dying Light game is a collaboration between Techland and Glass Cannon Unplugged, and according to its Kickstarter campaign, the game will be released in June 2025 if it reaches its goal of $54k.

Well, with 16 days more before the campaign is over, the game has exceeded its initial Kickstarted goal by 10 times already, amassing over half a million dollars, and assuring fans that the game will indeed get released.

The Dying Light board game will include several gameplay mechanics present in the franchise, such as the day and night cycle, which renders enemies weak or strong, depending on the cycle, plus many enemies from the open-world apocalyptic games.

And, much to the enjoyment of the fans, the board version will also include a parkour mechanic, and players can co-op play with other friends, up to 4 people, per game, but it also has a solo mode.

The game has been in the works for over 2 years now, and it will be released in June 2025, and it will include an array of expansions, because, yes, the game also has campaigns. These campaigns can be completed by up to 4 players, in multi-mission stories.

The game will be released in 3 editions:

  • Standard Pledge: includes Dying Light: The Board Game, Stretch Goals, and Gold Dawn weapon charm, at approximately $66.
  • Deluxe Pledge: includes Dying Light: The Board Game, Infected Miniatures Expansion, Stretch Goals, Gold Dawn weapon charm+1 More, at approximately $120.
  • Deluxe Pledge Bundle: 6× Dying Light: The Board Game, 6× Infected Miniatures Expansion, 6× Stretch Goals, 6× Gold Dawn weapon charm+1 More, at approximately $594.
