Try Firefox's revamped tablet interface on your Android today

Recently, we got to know that Mozilla is working on a tablet-optimized version of Firefox for Android. Developer/Writer Sören Hentzschel, who is renowned for covering Firefox-related developments, discovered a tab bar for Android tablets.

It was found within the Secret Settings option under Firefox Settings. The option is available in Nightly version of Firefox for Android tablet. It will not activated by default; you need to enable it by navigating to Firefox Settings> About Firefox Nightly, then tap the Firefox logo five times. Next, you will get a list of options on the Settings page, look for Secret Settings, and activate the tab bar.

Once the feature is enabled, Firefox Nightly users can use the conventional tab bar on their Android tablet. As of now, it is not fully optimized and some functionalities like drag & drop for browser tabs is not available.

This discovery must have excited a lot of users, as the dedicated user interface for Android tablets was long overdue as it is already there on the Apple iPad version.

Now that it is confirmed that you can enable it on Firefox Nightly, it will soon be available in the stable version as well. In case you want to try out Firefox Nightly for Developers, here is the link.
