Two Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell games are now backward compatible on Xbox One

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist are now backward compatible on the Xbox One, Xbox’s Major Nelson announced today. These two games were released on the Xbox 360 in 2006 and 2013, respectively, with the latter being the latest installment in the stealth video games franchise.

If you don’t already own it, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent is a $19.99 purchase on the Microsoft Store, but please note that the more recent Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist doesn’t seem to be available for purchase digitally (it may still be available in select regions). Anyway, those of you who still own the digital versions or physical discs can play both games right away on Xbox One.

Overall, Microsoft brought 10 new games to the Xbox One Backward Compatibiliy list in July, including Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD, Silent Hill: HD Collection and Dante’s Inferno. You can see more of the latest entries on Major Nelson’s website.
