Around the launch of the Xbox One in 2013, Verizon released their TV app for the system called Verizon FIOS TV. This app allowed subscribers to their internet and TV service to watch 75 Live free channels on their consoles. This was another addition to the growing list of entertainment apps, available to owners of the Xbox One consoles.

However, that will unfortunately be coming to an end. In an email sent out today, to subscribers, Verizon has informed its users that on March 31st the app and its contents will be cancelled and no longer for use, a bittersweet reality for those who use their Xbox One as center of their entertainment and enjoy the services of Verizon with FIOS. In the meantime, the mobile apps for Verizon FIOS TV are readily available and aren’t impacted by the removal of the Xbox One app. For those who use this service on Xbox, what have Verizon FIOS, how do you feel about this latest news on Verizon ending the app service?
