For those in the Windows 10 Insider program on the Fast Ring, an update to the View 3D app is making its way down the lines and into the Windows Store, delivering a new feature that Microsoft promised previously – the ability to superimpose 3D models into the real world.
With this update, several 3D models are made available, such as the Curiosity Rover, Harajuku girl, elephants and more, as well as objects that have been downloaded via Remix 3D.
After selecting a 3D model of your choosing, there’s now a button that will open the camera/webcam of your device, and allow you to begin placing the 3D model into the picture.
This update is only available on Windows 10 PCs and tablets. No word on Windows 10 Mobile at this time.
