There are some things in this world that happen for no worldly reason, but you can’t help but want to see. One of those things, you may realize, is watching the Xbox One X being played on an old CRT television. This clunker of a display is a relic of years’ gone by, and there’s no reason you should be trying to use such an advanced piece of hardware on it — but the YouTube channel My Mate VINCE did it anyway.

It took a series of adapters to get the console to function with the CRT TV, considering the Xbox One X only outputs in HDMI. Additionally, even if you get it to work, the picture still looks a little bit off. The One X is displaying content at a higher resolution than the poor CRT can handle, so it’s struggling to show you anything good. If you have these adapters and absolutely must try your curiosity of what the Xbox One X would look like on a TV from 15 years ago, this video is your jam.
