One of the most noticeable changes introduced with Windows Vista was the translucent Aero Glass theme. It introduced a level of depth that XP only provided in the form of dropdown shadows. Aero then greatly improved in Windows 7, offering even more shiny transparency across the desktop user interface.
Microsoft moved away from the Aero theme with the launch of Windows 8 and its flat, Modern UI designed language, previously known as “Metro”, but with the software giant’s renewed focus on customer feedback with Windows 10, there is a good chance of Aero making a comeback, provided enough people vote for it that is.
@0hstopityou There are some popular suggestions on aero/transparency in the Feedback app. Go ‘ me too’ your faves.

WinBeta recently unveiled that internally, Microsoft was talking about bringing Aero back in Windows 10, so it looks like your votes do matter. But as Aul said, make sure you keep voting, the Redmond giant will only bring it back if there is high-enough demand for it!
If you would like to see Aero come back to Windows, Microsoft’s Gabriel Aul suggests you head over to the Windows Feedback app in the Windows Technical Preview, and ‘Me too’/vote for one of the many requests to bring back the theme. You’ll find most of the requests in the Personalization category.
