Twitter today pushed out an update for the PWA on Windows 10, and it introduces the much-awaited night mode feature. Overall, this automatic update is solid and brings much more consistency across all Twitter apps on Windows, Android, iPhone, and other platforms. Here’s what’s new.
We are rolling out the following features to https://t.co/AIUgyCj4rs, Twitter Lite, and Twitter for Windows to provide more consistency across platforms. See what’s new. ????
✔️ night mode
✔️ real time updates on reply, Retweet, and like counts
✔️ updated Tweet compose box— Twitter (@Twitter) May 22, 2018
Once updated, you’ll find the toggle option for a dark mode under your profile submenu. You’ll also notice that the Retweet and Like counts will update in real time, perfect for keeping track of viral moments. And finally, there is an updated Tweet compose box (accessible by pressing N) which now makes it possible to more easily move between your Tweets and your timeline.
Again, since this is a PWA, there’s no need to head to the Microsoft Store to get this update. Everything is automatic, and if you’re not seeing these new features at first, you might want to wait a few seconds or minutes and re-launch the app. Are you liking this update?
