The Xbox One commercial launch is just around the corner and to have everything in place, Microsoft has decided to launch the Xbox One SmartGlass App in the Windows Store for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 users
You are probably waiting for the moment when the Xbox One pre-orders finally start so you can order yours. But if you have a Windows 8 tablet or device, you can already download and install the official Xbox One SmartGlass app that Microsoft has just launched in the Windows Store. By using the new app you will be able to navigate on the Xbox One using the keyboard or touch.
The application has received companion apps for Windows Phone 8, iOS and Android, as well. The Xbox One SmartGlass App for Windows 8 comes with options to control your media and set top box with the remote control function. You can also browse the web, track achievements, chat with friends and access the help files of each game from a Windows 8.1 device. Here’s how the app’s description goes:

The Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 apps for the Xbox One are very similar to the one for Xbox 360.
