Microsoft has signed off on the final RTM build of Windows Home Server 2011. OEMs are expected to offer the first systems with WHS 2011 starting in May.

Microsoft also provided details regarding online availability. An evaluation edition of WHS 2011 will be available in early April. TechNet and MSDN subscribers will also receive the final bits at the same time.

WHS 2011 will be available in 19 languages including Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan), Chinese (Hong Kong), Czech, Dutch, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish.

Microsoft has provided documentation comparing the features of WHS V1 and WHS 2011. Most notable of course is the lack of the popular Drive Extender feature that was available in WHS V1.
