Kodi, the popular media center app, came out as a UWP app not too long ago. Users have so far enjoyed the new version of the app, but a bug in the Windows Store has so far prevented them from getting the newest version. The update has been failing for many users who download Kodi via the Windows Store, keeping version 17.1 out of their hands.
A recent announcement from Kodi on Twitter shows that they’re aware of the bug, and a fix is currently being worked on by Microsoft.
Is the Kodi v17.1 update failing to install through Windows Store? Please be patient as @Microsoft will send a patch this week fixing it
— Kodi (@KodiTV) March 23, 2017
There’s no word right now on an exact date for the patch, but “this week” can only mean so many things when it’s said on a Thursday night. Users experiencing the bug can expect a fix coming out in the next couple of days.
