X unveils 'Stories' that uses GrokAI to summarize trendy stories

X is now supercharged by a new feature called Stories. The latest feature announced by Elon Musk’s company leverages GrokAI to summarize trendy news.

The official announcement was made via X’s Engineering team’s handle and mentions that Stories will be only available for Premium users.

The new Stories feature will use GrokAI to summarize trendy news for you

In short, the Stories on X will summarize trending news for the users and will display them in the app’s For You tab in the Explore section.

Generally, users visit the For You section to catch up with everything that’s trending on X. That’s the one section where they can read the latest news and topics in your network without scrolling much.

Now that Stories is available, you’ll see a summary of the post that you opened in the For You tab, all thanks to GrokAI.

‘Grok can make mistakes,’ X adds a disclaimer below the summarized stories

As with every AI-generated result, these summaries are also prone to inaccuracy. TechCrunch which tested the Stories feature on X added that a warning message appears below the summary which reads – Grok can make mistakes, verify its outputs.

Not to forget, Premium users were the ones who got exclusive access to the GrokAI when it was first available. Since GrokAI powers the latest feature, only premium users can only use this feature for now. It could be one of the plans by the company to push users to pay for premium subscriptions.

Notably, Stories on X will be available only for iOS and web users at the moment. Hopefully, it will soon become available for premium Android users too.

More recently Elon Musk’s AI company xAI unveiled GrokAI-1.5 Vision which beats its market rivals in the RealWorldQA benchmark.
