Xbox Cloud Gaming is now available on yet another platform; this time it’s Meta Quest VR headsets getting access to Microsoft’s cloud gaming service.

The Xbox Cloud Gaming app is accessible in beta form from the Meta Quest Store, for Meta Quest 2,3 and Pro VR headsets. You’ll need a supported Bluetooth controller (Xbox, PS4 and Nintendo Switch Pro controllers are supported, and support for PS5 controllers is in the works). That in addition to a Meta Quest VR headset, obviously, and a high-speed internet connection.

You will also need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription to access Xbox Cloud Gaming, as with other platforms. At least for the time being: it was reported earlier this week that Microsoft may be preparing to launch an ad-supported free Xbox Cloud Gaming tier.

A quick video demonstration of Xbox Cloud Gaming on Meta Quest can be seen over on the announcement post on Meta’s blog.

At home or on the go, this is one of the best ways to experience Xbox Game Pass. Skip the install and jump into your favorite games with friends right away. Play virtually anywhere, from your room or wherever you might travel over the holidays. Choose from four different display sizes and either immerse yourself in an Xbox-themed virtual space or enjoy a view of your physical surroundings with Quest 3 or Pro’s stereoscopic full-color Passthrough.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is available on a wide range of platforms including Xbox, Windows PC, Valve’s Steam Deck, ChromeOS and select Samsung smart TVs and monitors.
