As the ongoing coronavirus pandemic continues to make it very difficult to organize in-person events around the world, Microsoft announced that Xbox Fanfest is going digital this year. Starting today at 6PM PT, Xbox fans can register at xbox.com/FanFest and opt in to participate to a series of exclusive experiences, starting with a first-ever all-digital trivia event.
“While our in-person events are on hold, we decided what better time than now to expand FanFest in a way that allows more fans the opportunity to come together throughout the year,” explained Brina Hatcher, FanFest Lead at Xbox. By registering on the dedicated website today, fans will get access to exclusive digital and physical experiences, sweepstakes, merchants drops, and more.
The first FanFest trivia event will only be available for the first 25,000 Xbox fans that will opt in and confirm their sport today. You can also earn 100 Microsoft Rewards points upon registration and continue to earn points by participating to other upcoming FanFest activities.
Microsoft’s series of Xbox FanFest events started six years ago, going all digital this year will allow even more Xbox fans to join the fun. We’re now just a month away from the launch of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Series S consoles, and we hope the company will have a couple of cool surprises for FanFest participants.
