Ever since Microsoft unveiled Xbox Game Pass back in February, those in the various rings of the Xbox Insider program have had chances to test out the new subscription service. Now, according to a new report from gamezone.com, the service is “close to launch” and Microsoft will end insider testing next week on April 28th.
According to the report, some Insiders have a received a message about the latest status of the service. Microsoft has also reportedly confirmed that the service will leave the Xbox Insider program on April 28th. This would make sense, given that Xbox Game Pass was recently opened up to those in Preview Ring 3 of the Xbox Insider program (which other than Ring 4 is the second slowest ring with somewhat more stable builds.) The message reads:
“Thank you for participating in the Xbox Game Pass Alpha Preview… You feedback has been invaluable and will make the service better for all gamers….We’re getting close to launch and Xbox Game Pass will be available for all gamers later this Spring.”
Xbox Game Pass is a gaming subscription service, which will give Xbox fans access to 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 games for $9.99 a month. Games from industry leading publishers such as 2K, 505 Games, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Capcom, Codemasters, Deep Silver, Focus Home Interactive, SEGA, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Microsoft Studios, will all be included in the service. You will be able to you discover and download the full titles directly on your Xbox One, without the need to stream the games.
