OneDrive PDF

Starting in October, OneDrive users will be able to open protected PDFs in the web version of the platform. According to a recent entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, only authorized users can access these PDF files, which can only be accessed in read-only mode.

Here’s what the entry says:

With this capability, OneDrive users can open PDF files that are protected with Microsoft Purview Information Protection sensitivity labels and read them using OneDrive web in read-only mode. Only authorized users will be able to access these PDF files.

Microsoft has recently updated OneDrive with massive enhancements, so it’s no wonder that the Redmond-based tech giant is taking steps to make the platform accessible to everybody, everywhere, especially when it comes to protected PDF files.

However, it seems that the company has rated the Teen platform using the ESRB code, which is used for video games.
