You'll soon be able to save attachment files in Outlook without an Internet connection

The new Outlook for Windows will soon introduce the ability to save attachments offline without an Internet connection.

The new enhancement was announced in a recent entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, with the Redmond-based tech giant saying that it’s an effort to add more functionality to the offline mode of the platform, which was introduced last year.

Here’s what the entry says:

We are adding more functionality to offline mode in the new Outlook for Windows. You will now be able to open and save attachments from your email without an internet connection. #newoutlookforwindows

The new enhancement will be added to the new Outlook in January 2025. The platform was enhanced with an Offline Mode earlier this year, after a long tease, and Outlook for Windows and Web users can access the platform entirely offline.
