Gearbox has announced there will be a sequel to Borderlands and confirmed they are currently focusing on it. Borderland 3 will be the next game Gearbox will release, therefore we can assume the game developing process has already reached an advanced stage.

This is not the only inside information available.  Mikey Neumann, the voice of Scooter, the mechanic reveals some interesting facts about the possible traits of a new character:

I did this whole Scooter thing, then I pitch-shifted it up like seven semitones so it sounds like a chipmunk and it was the funniest thing I’d ever heard.

Also, Randy Pitchford, Gearbox CEO was much more generous in his answers:

It’s no secret, obviously there’s going to be another Borderlands.

Gearbox is currently working on putting the finishing touches on Battleborn. You can already pre-order Battleborn on Xbox One and PC for $59.99. The game will be officially launched on May 3rd. There are 25 playable characters you can choose from and all of them have their own storyline, weapons, and fighting style. As you advance, there are plenty of unlocks and items to find.

We are sure the team will offer additional information about Borderlands once Battleborn is out. For the time being, they are pouring all their energy into this game that will be released in less than a week.

Until Borderlands 3 is launched, you can get Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for Xbox One from the Microsoft Store for $39.99 or Borderlands 2, the PC version for $19.99.  Convince your friends to play the game and they will become fans of it, as one player confesses:

If you’ve never played these games; you need to! It’s an amazing blend of a FPS and an RPG where you can use skill points to make your character more powerful and unique. You can even respend your points at anytime to make your character a different style of play. For example, you can have a siren who does tons of elemental damage and is a one-woman wrecking crew or turn her into a healer to support your whole co-op team. Getting tired of using the assassin as a sniper? Respec and turn him into an up-close melee demon.

Do yourself a service and check these games out! Amazing characters, great/hilarious voice acting, and a plethora of enemies to kill will keep you entertained for a long time.
