New Lenovo YOGA lineup is just around the corner, supercharged by Microsoft's Copilot

At CES 2024, Lenovo announced a brand new laptop series specifically designed to enhance AI experiences and improve productivity.

As the Lenovo Innovation Technology Conference is a couple of weeks away, let’s discuss the new Lenovo Yoga lineup and its capabilities.

We have already discussed the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 series and how its Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, RTX 4070 GPU, and 3.2K Mini LED display make it a powerful machine. The laptop weighs only 1.93kg and comes with a hefty 84Wh battery to keep in the game for longer. Let’s talk about them individually.

The Yoga 9 series consists of powerful laptops: Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i (16”, 9) and Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 (14”, 9). These are MIL-STD-810H1 rated for durability and include Intel Core Ultra Processors for super-fast speed.

The Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 (14”, 9) comes with a Core Ultra 7 155H processor and a 3840×2400 OLED panel, weighs around 1.3 kg

A physical Lenovo AI Core Chip makes it better for AI functionality and comes packed with robust batteries.

The company has included Lenovo X Power, a tuning solution, to boost the power of the AI core chip and powerful processor in Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i.

ML powers this tuning solution and allocates processing power to help boost performance, cooling efficiency, and battery life, thereby enhancing creative tasks like film color correction.

Both models come with a Copilot key, which helps you stay in touch with your AI companion more easily. The Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 (14”, 9) also comes with a Lenovo Smart Pen and Sleeve.

Another laptop in the Yoga series is the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i (14”, 9), which is a thin and light Intel Evo edition premium laptop with Intel Core Ultra Processors and a WUXGA (1920 x 1200 resolution) OLED screen, weighing 1.4kg approx and with 65W charging support.

If you are into content creation, the all-new Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i (14”,9) and Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 (14”,9) are designed for you. They can be equipped with either Intel Core Ultra Processors or AMD Ryzen processors up to 7 8845HS.

If you opt for Intel, you will get an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU and 32GB LPDDR5x RAM with NVIDIA Studio validation.

With AMD, you will get an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU and 16GB LPDDR5x RAM. Both will have a 3K 120Hz touch IPS screen and a 73Wh battery with an OLED 3K or PureSight Pro LCD screen.

Next comes the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i (13″, 9), which can come with Intel’s new Core Ultra Processors, a rotating Bowers & Wilkins soundbar, and a PureSight OLED 2.8K screen.

Lastly, the convertible laptops in the lineup, Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 (16”, 9) and Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 (14”, 9), have Copilot keys that enable creators to access the AI assistant quickly.

Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 (14”, 9) will be available in Intel and AMD chips with up to Intel Core Ultra 7 155H with 32GB LPDDER5x-7467 memory or the Ryzen 7-8840HS with 16GB LPDDR5x-6400 memory.

However, the display is what sets them apart. The Intel one has a 2.8K 120Hz OLED, but the AMD comes with a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) 60Hz OLED.

Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 (16”, 9) will also have both AMD and Intel versions, with support for up to R7-8840HS or Intel Core Ultra 7 155U.

Both Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 (16”, 9) and Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 (14”, 9) houses a 71Wh battery. However, the 14” version weighs 1.49kg, and the 16” version weighs approx 1.99 kg

The company also boasted about making the Yoga laptop series recyclable, as the chassis is made of recycled aluminum, and the black 45 ~ 100W power adaptor cases are made of 90% PCC plastic.

  • Yoga Book 9i (13”, 9) –  a cover made of 100% recycled aluminum
  • Yoga Pro 9i (16”, 9) and Yoga 9i 2-in-1 (14”, 9) – Carbon Neutral verified by TUV

The rest of the other Yoga laptops also contain 50% recycled aluminum in the base cover. All of these robust devices will be released at the Lenovo Innovation Technology Conference on April 18.
