How do I fix the dirty volume error?

1. Make sure your drive doesn’t have any errors

  1. Connect the USB device that has issues to a port on your PC.
  2. Open up File Explorer (press ‘Win + E’ keys on your keyboard)
  3. Right-click the USB drive you connected earlier, and select PropertiesUSB drive properties 0X80071AC3 volume is dirty
  4. Inside the Tools tab, click on ‘Check’.
  5. Select ‘Scan and repair drive’.scan usb drive for errors 0X80071AC3 volume is dirty
  6. After the scanning process is complete, try copying your files to your external drive again, to see if the error is fixed.

2. Slide your SD card lock
