In addition to announcing the September Wave 2 lineup for Game Pass members, Xbox has also confirmed that several games will be leaving the Game Pass library on September 30. This means subscribers will have a fresh batch of titles to play, but they will also need to finish or purchase several games before they vanish from the service.

In other words, it is a familiar trade-off for Game Pass subscribers. While major additions such as Ninja Gaiden 4, Dune: Awakening, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Minecraft Dungeons II are joining Xbox Game Pass through the second half of September, eight games are being removed at the end of the month.

These games are leaving Xbox Game Pass on September 30

The following games will leave Xbox Game Pass at the end of this month:

  • Atomfall
  • Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
  • Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition
  • Little Rocket Lab
  • Sifu
  • SOPA: Tale of the Stolen Potato
  • Sworn
  • Terminull Brigade

For anyone already playing one of these titles, September 30 is the important date to keep in mind. Xbox also says subscribers can save on the games before they leave Game Pass, giving players an option to continue playing after the removal.

The timing is particularly interesting because September’s incoming lineup is considerably busier, with Gears of War: E-Day also scheduled for October 6 as a day-one Game Pass release. Speaking of day-one releases, a wild new rumor suggests that Xbox will be making some drastic changes to Game Pass.
