Exclusive: HP focuses heavily on gamers at upcoming CES 2024, here's everything they will announce

HyperX has always been a trusty brand regarding headsets, but for CES 2024, the company is set to take its gaming lineup to the next level with some incredibly awesome accessories. We’ve been the first to show you exclusive images and specs with HP’s Omen Transcend 14 gaming laptop, and now we’ve got our hands on images with HyperX accessories. Spoiler: they look incredible!

HP’s Transcend family gets a brand-new addition

We’re starting things off with great news for those who love big screens: the HP Omen Transcend 16 also gets an update for 2024. Besides new Intel Core Ultra processors and up to Nvidia RTX 4070 graphics, HP’s gaming flagship also gets a new 240Hz OLED screen and many AI improvements.

The Transcend lineup is completed by the new OMEN Transcend 32 UHD 240Hz OLED Gaming Monitor. As the name implies, it’s a 32-inch gaming display with a refresh rate of 240Hz. It’s also 4K, with a peak brightness of 1000 nits (HDR). The new monitor supports both AMD FreeSync and Dolby Vision.

It uses Omen Tempest Monitor Cooling Technology to reduce burn-in, and it has KVM functions built into it, making it the first gaming monitor with independent switchable USB ports.

In terms of connectivity, it has 1 DisplayPort 2.1, 2 HDMI 2.1, 1x USB-C® upstream (Full-featured, DisplayPort Alt mode, Power delivery 140W), 3x USB-A 3.2, 1x USB-C 3.2, and 1x USB-C with for data connection (15W).

HyperX is going all out, and not just with headsets

HyperX is also bringing some gaming gear to the table, starting with three new HX3D collections:

• HX3D Valkyrie Collection – for fans of the Norse Mythology and Valkyries
• HX3D Werewolf Collection – self-explanatory for those who appreciate the legendary mythical creature
• HX3D Nature Collection – for fantasy lovers, inspired by ethereal spirits

Each collection can be specifically designed with options for ESC keys, movement WASD keys, spacebars, headset toppers, and earcups.

Another exciting set of peripherals is the HyperX Alloy Rise Keyboard and the HyperX Pulsfire Haste 2 Mini. The Rise is a hefty 75% gasket mounted keyboard that’s customizable and has a smart ambient light sensor for the RGB backlighting.

It comes with different top plates, badge packs, and hot-swappable switches.

The Haste 2 Mini is a wireless mouse tailored explicitly for gaming on the go. Following in the footsteps of the popular HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2, Mini’s main advantages are its size (16% smaller than the Haste 2), weight (59 grams), and wireless connectivity. Both accessories come in two colors, black and white.

For console gamers, there’s the new Youth lineup aimed at a younger audience. It comprises the HyperX Cloud Mini, HyperX Cloud Mini Wireless, and the HyperX Clutch Tanto gaming controller.

Considering the lineup name, it might be a more affordable alternative to HyperX’s premium accessories. Both headsets feature multiple color options and audio safeguarding below 85dB, while the Xbox-certified (yes, it’s officially licensed by Xbox) controller comes only in black and it’s multiplatform compatible.

Finally, HyperX also offers a solution to take all these accessories with you: the HyperX Delta and Knight backpacks.

While we don’t have any info on the materials, both backpacks might be splashproof and perfect for up to 16-inch laptops. The Knight seems to be the more practical one, as the Delta focuses more on looks. Both gaming-inspired backpacks will come in black at launch.
