Developers are now able to create Unity projects and new games for Xbox One X. Announced today, Unity now has support for Xbox One X with 4K HDR output and increased power for the next Microsoft console.
The Xbox One X revealed at E3 2017, formerly and fondly named Project Scorpio, is the next console in the video game industry. Microsoft has decided to continue the Xbox line with higher benchmarks compared to the Xbox One S. Games developed for the Xbox One X will also be compatible with the original Xbox One and Xbox One S.
The Xbox One X support was added to the existing Xbox One family development kit. Independent developers will need to register for the ID@Xbox publishing program to access the Xbox One forum for Unity. This is where you can access resources and the download for the Xbox One Unity editor add-on, as well as a bustling community to interact with.
