It really feels funny to write this for the fourth time today, but Marvin is at it again. Marvin, a user of the “Microsoft Group” on Telegram noticed yet another nice, this time not so subtle, change to Windows 10 coming in the Creators Update.

Windows Defender may get a total overhaul from the old “Security Essentials” look to the new MDL2 UWP look. We cannot confirm if it is a true Universal App at this time, unfortunately. The new design is very clean and fits right into the system, just like it should. The picture below only shows it in the light theme, but let’s hope it features the dark one too to satisfy the dark-theme-loving amongst us.

The only weird thing about this design is the placement of the Hamburger button which seems to be a little lower than in other apps.

Let’s hope this is fixed before the release.
