Microsoft releases a new Xbox Insider build overnight, fixes game installation issues

If you’re an Xbox Insider, you might want to head over to the system settings now and check for a system update. Microsoft released a new Xbox Insider build overnight, and it has resolved the known issues with game installations (via Windows Central.)

The latest rs1_xbox_rel_1610.161202-1900 update was available starting 6:00PM PST on 12/5 (1:00AM GMT 6/12.) According to the Xbox Forum, the update fixes the following issues:

Installation:

  • Games should now install more reliably and encounter fewer installation failures on slower connections.
  • Resolved an issue which prevented users from successfully downloading games.
