Microsoft has now officially confirmed that its entry-level next-gen console, the Xbox Series S, will launch on November 10 for $299. The information is visible at the end of the Xbox Series S Reveal trailer that has been published on the Xbox YouTube channel a couple of minutes ago.
Windows Central first reported that both the Xbox Series S and the Xbox Series X would be released on November 10, with the latter expected to be priced at $499. Microsoft has yet to confirm these details for the Xbox Series X, and the company may well wait for Sony to announce the PlayStation 5’s price first.
Overall, Microsoft seems to be in a great position ahead of the beginning of this new console generation: The company will have the most powerful next-gen console with the Xbox Series X, and as of this writing it will also have the most affordable console with the Xbox Series S. We still don’t know all technical details about the latter, though we learned today that it will support 1440p gaming at up to 120 FPS, 4K upscaling, and DirectX ray tracing.
