Microsoft Launcher now has integrated Copilot for Android smartphones

The Microsoft Launcher app for Android phones and tablets received a beta update in August 2023. This update allows users to ask questions using the Bing Chat chatbot with text prompts. Users can also input the prompts using their voice.

In November 2023, Microsoft changed the chatbot’s AI name to Copilot, but Microsoft Launcher continued using the Bing icon in its search widget. However, this has changed now. As reported by Windows Central, people who signed up for the app’s beta version can now use Copilot in the latest version.

If you are signed in for Microsoft Launcher beta, you can get this version with Copilot integration from the Google Play Store. The new version, as mentioned on the Play Store, is v6.240402.2.1139391.

The UI of Copilot is the same as the app or the web version, which allows you to ask questions by typing, using audio, or uploading photos. However, some of the advanced features of Notebook, Cooking Assistant, and Vacation Planner are unavailable with Microsoft Launcher.

With this, the update also brings optimized performance for Copilot Pro users and has become more responsive.

Currently, the feature is available in beta, and there is no formal announcement about when it will be available to the general masses.
