Microsoft released a new Xbox update

After announcing the new Series X|S models, Microsoft has introduced a fresh update for its Xbox consoles and the Xbox app on PC, which offers many exciting features you will definitely enjoy.

The change, that began its release yesterday, lets you tailor your dashboard even more, handle Wi-Fi networks conveniently, recall up to 10 networks and much else.

At last, Xbox remembers more hotspots!

The most beneficial extra is probably the new function to recall and link with around 10 distinct wireless networks without inputting the password once more. You can also make your Xbox forget networks from Network Settings menu.

Next, we have the update in Xbox Adaptive Controller. This makes controller compatible with more USB accessories. Also, the firmware of Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 has been updated to solve issues and enhance wireless connection.

Another fun option is that you can personalize your Xbox dashboard even further:

If you can’t decide whether to have your Home screen display your fave dynamic background or game art, now you don’t have to choose – you can mix it up to show both. To customize your background by rotating game art with a dynamic theme of your choice, go to Settings > General > Personalization > My Background > Show selected game art. You can also set your your dynamic background color without changing your profile color. Available with Xbox Series X|S consoles.

For Xbox cloud gamers, it brings joy that more games now have support for mouse and keyboard. Additionally, management of game data and saves can be done from the Xbox Cloud Gaming Beta website. Also, changes were made to the Xbox App for PC which includes a fresh Game Pass tab, an innovative method to search and add friends plus many other enhancements.

Microsoft has shared that several trial features are planned to be tested on a portion of Xbox consoles this month. These include fresh methods for exploring the Xbox Game Pass catalog, alterations in Game Pass page layout and style, adding more information in search card results, as well as flashcard store buttons which will let you swiftly visit the store to purchase a game or get a subscription.

For all these changes to take effect, you need to update the console. The new Xbox June update is 10.0.25398.4908. If you want to check if the system updated, go to Profile & system > Settings, select System > Console info. You will find the OS version on the second column.
