The Krafton group, known worldwide for its success with PUBG, has acquired Tango Gameworks, an essential studio for creativity and innovation and the mastermind behind the famous Hi-Fi Rush.

Tango Gameworks was one of the studios Xbox left behind earlier this year due to managing and possible financial restructuring within the company. Following this, Krafton acquired the company, effectively adding Hi-Fi Rush into its portfolio, a popular and widely recognized IP known for its distinct rhythm-oriented action and remarkable audiovisual style.

Hi-Fi RUSH is not an ordinary game. This rhythm action combat game has won awards for its animation and audio design and has a substantial following from players across the globe. The fact that it obtained ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ reviews on platforms such as Steam shows its excellence and impact on gaming society.

In a press release, Krafton says it will help Tango Gameworks transition from Xbox into its repertoire while continuing to work on the legacy of what Hi-Fi Rush has already achieved.

Kraftone has expressed that it will help the team at Tango Gameworks grow Hi-Fi RUSH IP and look into different projects. This signifies that we might see more thrilling games or even fresh IPs extending limits within the interactive entertainment field.

As part of this strategic agreement, KRAFTON intends to collaborate with Xbox and ZeniMax to ensure a smooth transition and maintain continuity at Tango Gameworks, allowing the talented team to continue developing the Hi-Fi RUSH IP and explore future projects. KRAFTON intends to support the Tango Gameworks team to continue its commitment to innovation and delivering fresh and exciting experiences for fans. There will be no impact on the existing game catalog of The Evil Within, The Evil Within 2, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and the original Hi-Fi RUSH game.

It’s also important to mention that this alteration will not impact the current game collection of Tango Gameworks. The ongoing popular games like The Evil Within, The Evil Within 2, and Ghostwire: Tokyo will remain accessible wherever they are, ensuring fans do not lose entry into their adored titles.

At its heart, Krafton’s buyout of Tango Gameworks and the Hi-Fi RUSH IP is not only a deal. It signifies a daring move towards an upcoming era where creative talent, fresh ideas, and international teamwork combine to construct remarkable gaming adventures.
