Google is adding the “Translate” feature to Google Lens in Chrome Canary to let you translate foreign webpage content on screen easily. Here is how it works.

The search engine giant has recently made a redesigned version of Google Lens available in the Chrome browser on desktop. The tool, accessible from the address bar, lets you select anything on your screen for a visual search. The results appear in the sidebar.

Google tweaked Google Lens Search in Chrome to match the “Circle to Search” feature in Android. Till now, Lens could only translate selected text. Now, Google is expanding this to the entire screen, including images. This means you can quickly and easily translate whatever on the screen. You can even copy the translated content and paste it into other applications.

As spotted by us in a commit message, Chrome is adding Translate button to LensOverlay. Because of this, the Google Lens Overlay will soon feature a “Translate Screen” option in the Lens Overlay. This new feature makes it easier than ever to translate content on foreign websites. Simply select the translate button to instantly translate the entire screen.

Apart from adding the Translate feature to Google Lens, Chrome is adding “tab declutter” feature to desktop after Android, Task Manager, PDF Viewer and Picture in Picture are getting a refresh. Additionally, the reading list will support Toast notifications, and Chrome to show save bookmarks to Google Account prompt.
