Copilot Excel Python

The Python capabilities in Excel, released earlier this year (including a Python Editor within the platform) will be enhanced capabilities, as Microsoft announced Copilot in Excel with Python.

In a blog post, the Redmond-based tech giant says Copilot in Excel with Python is now in public preview. However, according to the latest entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, it will start rolling out to users in November 2024.

With it, users will be able to use natural language to describe the actions they want to perform, and Copilot will automatically generate, explain, and insert Python code into the Excel spreadsheet.

Microsoft says the integration also unlocks powerful Python tools for visualizations, data cleaning, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
