Microsoft Rewards quests Xbox

Microsoft Rewards has been acting weird lately on browsers, and unfortunately, the Xbox App is no exception. After flagging suspect search activity and limiting users’ access to earning points, Microsoft Rewards has been resetting itself on the Xbox App.

For instance, many users reported that Game Pass quests had reset a week earlier than usual, and right after that reset, many other quests, especially the monthly ones, appeared as completed.

The weekly Microsoft Rewards quests were also affected in the Xbox App.

Yesterday GP quests reset a week early Now it’s changed again – monthly is showing as complete and my weekly are wrong too. Anyone else?

Many users were impacted by these bugs. As a result, they lost achievements; others completed daily targets only to have them reset.

As a reminder, Microsoft Rewards resets the quests on Xbox on the 8th of each month.

According to an Xbox employee, the errors were caused by a bug that prompted the reset to start earlier, and the company has already fixed it.

We’ve fixed the early start date for this month’s quests. September’s quests will go until the 7th (as advertised), reset happens on the 8th. Any progress earned yesterday/early today toward October’s monthlies while the dates were showing 11/4 will count towards progress for October.

If you were affected by these bugs, you should be able to complete your quests with no errors.

In other news, Xbox recently announced that the Xbox Game Pass app will no longer be downloadable starting this November.

Were you affected by it?
