Microsoft Viva will enhance the comments section of the platform with a new capability called recommended comments. This will allow users to filter reactions to posts and easily access those with the greatest significance to the topic.

According to the latest post in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, this new enhancement will arrive in Viva Engage in January 2025. The Redmond-based tech giant says it’s a new way to encourage collaboration and productivity.

It’s worth mentioning that the new enhancement will not change the layout of the Comment, reply, and reaction panels. However, the platform will be redesigned to be more in tune with the other Microsoft apps, but it’s independent of this feature.

Here’s what the entry says:

Viva Engage will offer a new way to see contributions from close contacts and leaders within conversation threads. In the home feed and More for You feed, users see two comments that are meaningful to them and the overall conversation. Users can see the rest of the conversation with one click. There are no changes to the comment, reply, or reaction experiences with this new feature.

In other news, Viva Engage will be enhanced with a Unified Create Button this month, centralizing all the platform’s posting abilities into a single click.
