Microsoft is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Windows Insider Program with new wallpapers and a blog post highlighting the growing number of Insiders.
The Program was announced on September 27, 2014, and launched on October 1, 2014, to gather public feedback during the development of Windows 10.
By January 2015, Microsoft had already signed up 1.7 million people for the program. Since then, the program has expanded to include testing of Windows 11 builds and Windows apps and services.
Microsoft says the Windows Insider Program has “continuously evolved” over the years, adding new preview experiences and features such as different preview rings and channels.
The blog post adds that the company “remains committed” to listening to Insiders and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with Windows.
Finally, Microsoft has created unique edition wallpapers to celebrate the program’s 10th anniversary. The Microsoft Design team can download the light and dark wallpapers here.
