Outlook will let you move your emails between different accounts

The new Outlook for Windows will soon allow users to move their emails between multiple accounts for easier management.

The new capability was announced in a recent entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, and users can move emails from personal to professional accounts without any restrictions.

However, for work and school users, this new capability must be managed and controlled by a policy, which can only be enabled by admins who have the right to do so.

Here’s what the entry says:

We’re excited to announce a new feature in Outlook that makes it easier to manage emails across multiple accounts. All personal accounts in the new Outlook for Windows can seamlessly move emails between all their personal accounts, streamlining organization and productivity. For work or school users, this feature is controlled by a policy managed by administrators. By enabling this policy, admins can grant their users the ability to move emails between accounts in a way that aligns with organizational needs and policies. #newoutlookforwindows

The new capability will only impact Outlook for Web on Desktop platforms, and a rollout is scheduled to start in February 2025.

The platform will also be enhanced with a mouse optimization capability next month, which will allow users to move their mouse as little as possible in Outlook.
