Double Fine Announces Keeper at Xbox Games Showcase—Coming This October
Play as a walking lighthouse
Double Fine is back doing what they do best: making the kind of game no one else would dare to dream up. Keeper, their newest third-person adventure, arrives October 17, and the first trailer already feels like a lucid dream. It’s weird. It’s beautiful.
Guess WHAT? It features… a lighthouse that walks. The story begins when a long-dormant lighthouse collapses into rubble, then suddenly reassembles itself and walks upright, ready to explore a strange island teeming with mystery.
You play as that lighthouse, casting beams of light that shift the world around you, opening pathways and revealing secrets. A feisty seabird companion tags along, and together you set off toward the heart of an unknowable island that seems to react to your every move.

The trailer doesn’t give too much away—and honestly, that’s part of the appeal. There’s a surreal energy to it all, a sense that you’re about to take a journey that won’t explain everything, but will definitely make you feel something. Think Journey meets Inside with a dose of psychedelia and just enough Double Fine oddness to keep you wondering what’s coming next.
