Xbox Countdown Sale Goes Live, Offering Massive Discounts Until January 7

The Xbox Countdown Sale is officially live on the Microsoft Store for Xbox consoles and PC. This marks the final major Xbox sale of 2025 and gives players a long holiday window to lock in discounts.

Microsoft kicked off the sale on December 18, 2025, and it runs through January 7, 2026. That timing covers both the holiday break and New Year, making it one of the biggest shopping events for Xbox players this year.

Over 1,000 games discounted across Xbox and PC

The sale includes more than 1,000 games, with additional deals on DLC and add-ons. Discounts start around 20–30% for newer releases and climb as high as 85% for select editions and older titles.

How to access the Xbox countdown sale

You can find the Countdown Sale directly on your Xbox console by heading to the Deals section and selecting the Countdown Sale tab. The same discounts also appear in the Xbox PC app and on the Microsoft Store website.

Alongside the sale, Microsoft is also expanding Xbox Game Pass with four new retro titles. If you enjoy classic games, this update adds extra value on top of the holiday discounts.
