Every Major Xbox Reveals & Updates from Warhammer Skulls 2026 Showcase

If you are an XBOX and Warhammer fan, yesterday’s Warhammer Skulls 2026 showcase was something you shouldn’t have missed. In case you didn’t manages to watch the event live, here’s a quick rundown of what was announced.

The annual event returned with massive announcements, including brand-new game reveals, surprise launches, fresh gameplay footage, DLC updates, and even some free content rolling out right now on XBOX platforms.

Hosted by Alanah Pearce, who is also voicing Nyra Veyrath in Boltgun 2, this year’s showcase celebrated the 10th anniversary of Warhammer Skulls. Needless to say, the event did not slow down for even a second.

Mechanicus 2 surprise launched while Boltgun 2 showed new gameplay

One of the biggest higglight of the event was Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2, which officially launched on XBOX during the showcase itself. Interestingly, the game also marks the first appearance of the Votann faction inside a Warhammer 40K title.

Meanwhile, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 returned with extended gameplay footage alongside fresh looks at Nyra Veyrath and Malum Caedo.

Notably, Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Deathwatch also showed up during the showcase with its first reveal. This time around, the Deathwatch replaces the Grey Knights while multiple Xenos factions also enter the picture. Additionally, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster made its debut as a stealth-focused side-scroller starring a Skaven assassin. The game is currently planned for a 2027 XBOX release.

Space Marine 2, Darktide, and Rogue Trader also got big updates

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 officially received its free Purgation update, adding a new PvE level, Practice Mode, fresh weapons, and cosmetics.

Meanwhile, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide confirmed that the Skitarii faction from the Adeptus Mechanicus lineup is becoming a playable class on June 23.

Besides that, Rogue Trader locked June 11 for its next DLC, Infinite Museion, while Dark Heresy showcased additional gameplay footage during the presentation. The event also revealed that a Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40K collaboration is currently in the works.
