Xbox Free Play Days is packed with Warhammer 40K games this weekend (May 21–24)

[UPDATE: 21 May 2026 | 16:30 UTC] Microsoft has officially revealed the Xbox Free Play Days lineup for this weekend. As we mentioned in our original article, all the three games are part of this weekend’s Free Play Days lineup. Additionally, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition are also joining alongside. Notably, all five games are free to play this weekend for XBOX Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and Essential members.

Here’s a quick look at the discounted prices of all the games during the Xbox Free Play Days window:

[ORIGINAL STORY] It’s Thursday, which means we are back with another pre-official XBOX Free Play Days lineup. To catch you up, last weekend’s Free Play Days lineup included three games, Battlefield 6, Bassmaster Fishing, and JDM: Japanese Drift Master. Well, this weekend, it seems XBOX is going all in grab appreciation from Warhammer 40K fans.

This weekend, from today, May 21 through Sunday, May 24, you’ll have at least three Warhammer 40,000 series games to play for absolutely free. Here are the games:

• Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector
• Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters
• Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr Ultimate Edition

Interestingly, the Warhammer packed lineup comes on the occassion of Warhammer Skulls video games festival’s 10th anniversary. As of now, it’s unclear whether the aforementioned games would require players to have Game Pass subscriptions to play free through the weekend.

Worth noting that, it goes without saying that we might see some more games added to the lineup later in the day when Microsoft officially announces this weekend’s Free Play Days lineup.
