Valve Reveals Steam Sale Schedule Through June 2027

Steam’s upcoming event schedule gives players and developers an early look at every major sale, Next Fest, and themed festival planned through the first half of 2027.

Valve’s calendar includes major seasonal discounts, genre-focused promotions, demo events, and several unusual festivals covering everything from sheep and trains to witches and desktop companions.

Steam event schedule for the rest of 2026

Steam will host several themed festivals throughout the second half of 2026, alongside its major Autumn and Winter sales.

July 2026

October will be one of the busiest months on Steam, with the Autumn Sale followed by a cooking promotion, a Next Fest demo event, and the Halloween-themed Steam Scream V Fest.

November 2026

• Auto-Battler RPG Fest: November 16–23

Valve will also promote games receiving Black Friday discounts through Steam’s Special Offers hub. The company plans to announce specific dates and additional details later.

December 2026

• Steam Winter Sale 2026: December 17–January 4, 2027

The Winter Sale will close out 2026 and continue into the first few days of January.

The Summer Sale will conclude Valve’s currently announced schedule and run for two weeks, ending on July 8.

Early dates help developers prepare

Valve publishes its event calendar months in advance so developers can identify festivals that match their upcoming or existing games.

Participating studios can prepare playable demos, discounts, store assets, and promotional campaigns before registration deadlines. Smaller developers may also gain additional visibility by joining festivals focused on specific genres or themes.

Players can use the dates to plan purchases around Steam’s major seasonal sales. Themed festivals also make it easier to discover games within specific categories that might otherwise receive less attention on the storefront.

In other Valve news, the company has expanded Steam Verified with new Steam Machine and SteamOS ratings. Valve also plans to address the Steam Machine’s red temperature warning through a new BIOS update.
