Earlier this month, Sony confirmed the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium lineup for the rest of July. Now, the company has turned its attention to the other side of the catalog. We are talking about games that will leave the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalog in the next month.

These PS Plus Extra and Premium games leave on August 18

Sony has confirmed that the following nine games will leave PlayStation Plus Extra on August 18, 2026:

  • Earth Defense Force 6
  • Unicorn Overlord
  • Harold Halibut
  • Clash: Artifacts of Chaos
  • Dead Island 2
  • Roki
  • Onee Chanbara Origin
  • Bomber Crew
  • Space Crew

Unlike PS Plus Essential, the Extra tier doesn’t let you keep games after they leave the catalog. Your access ends once Sony removes them, even if your subscription remains active.

Dead Island 2 and Unicorn Overlord are the biggest losses

Among this month’s departures, Dead Island 2 easily stands out as one of the biggest games leaving the service. The zombie action title remains one of the stronger recent additions to PS Plus Extra. There’s still enough time to complete its main story before August 18 if you start now.

Unicorn Overlord is another major exit. Vanillaware’s tactical RPG received strong reviews and has built a loyal following since launch. The remaining lineup offers something for almost everyone. Earth Defense Force 6 delivers over-the-top co-op action, while Harold Halibut and Roki offer slower, story-driven indie experiences.
