More Than 80 Ubisoft Games Are Now Available on the XBOX PC App

Ubisoft games on XBOX PC have expanded significantly, with more than 80 editions and bundles now available to purchase through Microsoft’s XBOX app.

As PureXbox reports, the expansion brings franchises including Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, The Crew, and Watch Dogs to Microsoft’s PC storefront.

Ubisoft Connect Is Still Required

Despite appearing inside the XBOX app, these games do not use Microsoft’s native PC gaming infrastructure.

Players must enable the Ubisoft extension and install Ubisoft Connect before launching any purchased title. Ubisoft Connect will handle the installation, authentication, and launch process.

These are PC versions sold through the XBOX app. Purchasing them does not provide an XBOX console version.

XBOX Achievements and Play Anywhere Are Not Supported

The Ubisoft releases also lack several features normally associated with games purchased through the XBOX ecosystem.

Players will not receive XBOX achievements when playing these versions. The games also lack XBOX Play Anywhere support, meaning one purchase does not unlock versions across PC and XBOX consoles.

Cross-save functionality through the XBOX platform is unavailable as well.

Ubisoft Games Available Through the XBOX App

The Ubisoft expansion follows the launch of XBOX Backward Compatibility on PC, which brings more older games to computer players. Meanwhile, Microsoft has also revealed the XBOX Game Pass July Wave 2 lineup, giving subscribers even more games to look forward to this month.

That’s not all, as XBOX recently announced a collaboration with Meta that gives Meta Horizon+ subscribers free access to the XBOX Game Pass Starter Edition.
