The wait is nearly over for Halo fans. As previously hinted by a popular data miner, Halo: Campaign Evolved arrives this week, but not everyone will start playing at the same time. Halo Studios has now confirmed the global unlock schedule, alongside details on early access and preloading.

When does Halo: Campaign Evolved early access start?

Players who purchased the Premium Edition or Collector’s Edition can begin playing on July 23. Early access starts simultaneously worldwide rather than unlocking at midnight in each region. Here are the official early access release times:

The Standard Edition of Halo: Campaign Evolved launches on July 28 using the exact same global schedule. Everyone receives access simultaneously regardless of platform or location.

Can you play Halo: Campaign Evolved early?

Yes, but only with the Premium Edition or Collector’s Edition. Both editions include up to five days of Early Access before the standard launch. Players also receive the Foundry Armory Pack by pre-ordering.

Does the New Zealand trick work for Halo: Campaign Evolved?

No. Halo Studios confirmed the game uses a global simultaneous launch. Changing your console’s region won’t unlock the game sooner because everyone receives access at the same moment worldwide.

When can you preload Halo: Campaign Evolved?

Preloads begin before launch on supported platforms. Steam Standard Edition owners must wait until early access begins before downloading, while Xbox, Windows PC, and PlayStation users receive earlier preload windows depending on their edition.
