XBOX Cloud Gaming Arrives on More Hisense and VIDAA TVs

The XBOX app is expanding to millions of smart TVs running VIDAA OS, allowing players to stream games without buying an XBOX console. Microsoft will gradually bring the app to compatible television models released between 2024 and 2026.

The XBOX app rollout for VIDAA OS smart TVs includes supported Hisense models and other televisions that use the platform. Availability will vary by model, region, and software update schedule.

XBOX cloud gaming comes to more smart TVs

XBOX Game Pass subscribers can stream hundreds of supported games directly through the television app. The catalog includes titles such as Forza Horizon 6 and Halo: Campaign Evolved.

Cloud saves let players continue their progress across compatible TVs, XBOX consoles, PCs, and other supported devices. Subscribers can also stream selected games they own, even when Microsoft does not include those titles in the current Game Pass catalog.

Game availability depends on the user’s country, subscription plan, television model, and the current cloud gaming catalog.

Players need the following equipment and services:

1. A compatible smart TV running VIDAA OS 9.6 or later.
2. An XBOX Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential subscription.

The VIDAA OS 9.6 update may not reach every compatible television at the same time. Owners can contact VIDAA support to confirm whether their model and region qualify for the rollout.

The VIDAA partnership supports Microsoft’s strategy of making XBOX games available across more screens. Players can already use XBOX cloud gaming on consoles, PCs, mobile devices, browsers, streaming hardware, and selected smart TVs.

The expansion comes as XBOX content revenue dropped 10% during Microsoft’s latest reported period. However, the company still owns major gaming properties, with XBOX’s three largest franchises generating more than $1 billion each annually.

Microsoft remains confident about its gaming business. The company’s CEO has said that XBOX will return to growth in FY2027 as Microsoft restructures the division and focuses resources on its strongest games and services.
