RTX 5090 Soars 41% in Korea as RTX 50 GPU Prices Keep Rising

RTX 50 Series price increases are already hitting buyers, with new South Korean sales data showing the RTX 5090 climbing more than 40% since January 2026.

The latest numbers come after reports suggested that NVIDIA graphics card prices could rise by as much as 30%.

RTX 5090 prices jumped 40.9%

Danawa compared actual GeForce RTX 50 Series sales prices in South Korea between January and August 2026.

Most Blackwell GPUs ended August at higher prices than they started the year:

• RTX 5090: +40.9%
• RTX 5070 Ti: +10.7%
• RTX 5080: +9.1%
• RTX 5060: +9.1%
• RTX 5070: +5.8%
• RTX 5050: +4.3%
• RTX 5060 Ti: -4.1%

The RTX 5090 recorded the largest increase by a wide margin. Its prices began accelerating around June and remained elevated through July and August.

The RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti saw smaller increases, but both still finished August above their January levels.

RTX 5060 Ti is the only exception

The RTX 5060 Ti was the only GPU in Danawa’s data that became cheaper over the period.

However, the listing apparently combines the 8GB and 16GB versions. Weak demand has pushed down prices for the 8GB model, which may have lowered the overall figure.

RTX 50 prices could climb another 30%

Danawa warns that RTX 50 Series graphics card prices could rise by up to another 30% starting this month.

Possible factors include higher TSMC advanced-process wafer costs, rising GDDR7 memory prices, changes to shipment volumes, and additional pricing adjustments from manufacturers.

High-end graphics cards could face the largest increases.

We have already seen RTX 50 retail prices climbing far beyond MSRP, while NVIDIA has remained silent on the latest increases.
