Xbox players are reportedly hunting down games with official Disc-to-Digital support

Xbox Disc-to-Digital has recently been launched for Insiders out there. While many players expected Xbox to list the games that that include support for the feature, it didn’t. Now, it seems players are taking the matter on their hand, as a few new reports suggest that compatibility databases to track what game works and what does not are now being created.

Fans are doing Xbox’s missing homework

Microsoft says the feature supports thousands of Xbox One and Xbox Series X disc games. However, Xbox has not published a complete public compatibility list, leaving players to test their own collections. That has quickly pushed the Xbox community into action. XCT.live is tracking tested games, while Reddit users are sharing results from their physical libraries.

XCT’s database had already reached 890 tested games out of 1,923 entries on September 1. The project is still being updated as more players submit results.

Big games are missing support at this point, but it may not be the case in the coming days

Several major titles are reportedly missing from the program. Players have flagged that big games including Forza Horizon 6, Elden Ring and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate miss the support as of now. However, that doesn’t mean Xbox wouldn’t add Disc-to-Digital support for these games. These big titles might get support in the coming days, hopefully. A few user reports on Reddit suggests that multiple Ubisoft and Square Enix games are returning a message saying they are not participating in digital licensing.

All that said, the tracker lists remain works in progress. Some users have even reported different results, while others are finding games that were previously marked unsupported. The feature itself has a major appeal. A supported disc can unlock a digital entitlement, potentially bringing Play Anywhere and cloud access where those options exist.
